I won't use this urgent care again. I went in yesterday morning because of what felt like an ear infection. I typically would've gone to my doctor but I wanted to try and avoid missing work. I was the first patient of day as I waited outside for them to open in hopes that I could get in and out quickly. They had me in and out in 30 min which is why I'm giving them the second star. The NP came in, asked me my symptoms and glanced in my infected ear for about 1 second. She said, "yep it's infected" and proceed to explain that it was an outer ear infection and that she would prescribe me some drops. I asked her if there was anything she could do to relieve the pressure because it felt like my ear was going to explode. She said that there wasn't, recommended I pick up some Flonase and sent me on my way. This morning I woke up still in excruciating pain with the same bursting at the seems feeling in my ear. I decided to call my PCP and I'm sure glad I did. As he did a THOROUGH inspection of my ear he noticed a giant abscess just on the outside of my ear canal. He was shocked that the doctor at urgent care had missed it. I explained to him that she hadn't done a very good job inspecting my ear and had only glanced in it for about a second. Anyway, ten minutes later my doctor lanced it and my relief was almost instantaneous. I've been to other urgent cares in the area and if I ever have to go to one again I'll skip this place and head to one of them. I would suggest you do the same.
