This place is kind of like staying at Grandma's house - minus the warm cookies and discussion of how much you've grown since your last visit. The decor dances on the border of grand and grandma. The lobby is quite fancy, in an old world way - wooden staircases, chandeliers, flowers. The rooms, however, are overtaken by floral wallpaper (wallpaper!!) and large, heavy furniture. Here on business, I tried to get some work done in my room. Turns out, in keeping with the dated decor, there is no wireless internet - you have to sit at the desk and plug in to the cord provided. Small potatoes, I know, but still. My coworkers were convinced this place was haunted, so we switched back to Marriott Key Center across the square after just one night. I don't believe in ghosts, but I do believe in modern amenities. I made sure to swipe all the Aveda bath products from the bathroom on my way out.
