My boyfriend and I lost our one working key, while the other one is not working. We had the car towed here for a new key. They told us we have to replace the entire dashboard ($1200). We called another dealership + our Independent mechanic. They both told us that it is impossible that we would need a new dashboard and that we should be able to get a new key. When we came here to have the car towed to another Audi dealership, the entire insides of the car was apart. We never signed a thing, and they even tried to charge us for it. Also, they told us all mechanics left for the day so they couldn't put it back together. Luckily, a great guy called Dan happened to pass by in his mechanic outfit, and he put it back together while he was saying: "I don't know why they took this thing apart for a key". In conclusion, they lied and cheated, but Dan helped us out. To follow up: it turned out all we needed was indeed a new key, and we ended up paying about $1300 less than the entire dashboard+labour+diagnostics would have cost us at Audi Bedford.
