So I got a groupon for Pan. Which worked out great because I had honestly been meaning to go back there since the Yelp event. I brought along my fiance and recently married big sister (yay!).
We got veggie tempura to start, a chai cocktail, a drai laag beer, and their seasonal sangria (made with chai tea!). The cocktails were insane. I loved all of them, and as always loved the drai laag beer. The seasonal sangria was very autumnal and tasted divine. Our water was adorable and sweet and incredibly helpful. He read through ALL the specials in a well paced manner and was super funny.
We ordered WAY TOO MUCH SUSHI. But we needed to have it. We got four orders of sushi and my sister got ramen.
The ramen looked AMAZING. She ate so much of it and there was still about 3/4 left. Definitely a lot of food for the money.
The sushi was really great, we got a spicy salmon, tuna, smoked mackerel, and another salmon sushi (sorry I forget the names).
They were all really good but the spicy salmon and mackerel were definitely my favorite.
My sister ordered desert and SHE LOVED IT. They were "asian churros" with a hot honey sauce and caramel. I tried a bite, the honey was definitely spicy but in a very complimentary way. It was a slow deep burn that blended well with the whipped cream, caramel, and cinnamon. This is a place I will certainly go again. I enjoyed everything I had.
Why did I detract a star? It's not THE BEST SUSHI EVER. But it's definitely in the top 5!
