I always take my vehicle to Car-X whether it's for an oil change or some maintenance. If you need a ride to work, they offer free shuttle service. They are not the cheapest in town, but they do quality work which means more to me than saving a few dollars.
If you need towed, they can take care of that too. However, you might want to check your car insurance to see if they reimburse towing expenses as it is a tad expensive. ($120 for my last tow, but thankfully my insurance took care of that!)
When I needed new tires, they explained why and showed me. They print out estimates so you can budget or shop around if you choose. If they are backed up, they will tell you ahead of time so you can take your car elsewhere if you need to rather than waiting days for them to look at it.
Make sure you check the website for coupons. They will also send you occasional coupons via email that are not on the website.
