Recently, we were notified that hey would be sending out the 5 day late notices on the 2nd now, rather than the 4th or 5th as before. The late fees begin on the 4th. that is not changing. Apparently people are now upset about getting the notice earlier. Boo-effing-hoo. Pay your rent on time. Problem solved? And actually, that's totally legal and normal. Your rent is due on the 1st you get a grace period to pay, but you are technically late on the 2nd, and they can serve you your late notice then. I also rent with them, and agree it sucks, because I pay on the 3rd, but, you're late on the 2nd and they can legally serve you a notice. The lease does not state anything about notice delivery dates. I've also been in apartment management for 13 year, so I know what is and isn't ok- this is normal and ok.
