I've been a Cleveland runner for over 20 years, former NCAA athlete (track and XC), and will be completing my 10th half marathon this fall, and I hate this place. Without knowing the background of the person they are helping, always seem to bring out the most expensive shoes in stock. The $80 pair works great for me and I've never had a season-ending injury (impressive considering how long I've been running) but at Fleet Feet I always get a lecture on why I need to spend over $100. Again, I hate this place. Earlier this year I went to Fleet Feet and a punk salesperson (who didn't look at anywhere close to being an experienced runner) insisted I need a supportive shoe after watching me walk 6 feet. First of all, the salesperson was incorrect in their diagnosis; but worse, they were unwilling to revisit the issue and instead suggested maybe my arches had changed in the past few months due to aging or pregnancy. I'm in my 20s and have never been pregnant, so, thanks! For your entertainment, another time an older man got uncomfortably close to my feet during an "evaluation" and his face was literally inches from my feet as he studied them closely for a full minute. That was nearly ten years ago so hopefully he doesn't work there anymore.
