Matcha is one of my very favorite things in any form (tea, cake, mochi, ice cream, whatever...give me all the things), so I was excited to see this place when I was looking for a place to get get tea here on Yelp. When I walked in, the kids who were running the place were all sitting at a table with a friend. That's cool, relax if you don't have anything to do. I don't mind that at all. But they made it awkward, hopping out of their seats and then running behind the counter. Still okay, they're teenagers. I know how that goes. For some reason (maybe because I visit A LOT of boba shops), I expect the friendliness and smiles I get at other places. Not here. Maybe I disrupted a game or an important conversation, but they acted a little annoyed at having to help me. I tell them I've never been in before. They ask me if I have had matcha. I say yes. They tell me I should get the ceremonial grade then since it is the best they have. I order it half sweet and they make it for me. It's just okay. I probably could have used more sweetener in the drink, and the employees could have used a little more sweetness in their attitudes.
