We are landlords with a non-paying tenant. We made one attempt to evict and failed because we did not fully understand the law, and had a badly written lease contract (that someone else had provided to us). We weren't sure where to go or what to do. We met with Aaron Finter for a one hour consultation. Although it seemed to be a bit expensive for just one hour, in the end we felt it was totally worth it. Mr. Finter knows rental law very well, and is very well aware of how certain cases play before a judge (despite what the law or a contract says). He told us what we needed to do to have a very strong case against the tenant which would succeed no matter what judge it came before. He also gave us some advice on areas where our lease was weak, wrong, or in conflict with the law. I asked if he could help us draft a new lease (basically offering him more business and more money), and he told me to save my money and told me we could get a high quality lease template that is kept up to date with all of the latest laws and judgments from a licensed realtor. We had a lot of questions which may have seemed somewhat ignorant or naïve, but he was very patient and answered every question. Some of our questions were sort of complicated, but he always understood perfectly what we were asking and provided answers that we could easily understand. He took something very complicated and made it very easy and understandable for us. We were ready to spring the extra hundreds of dollars for him to represent us (again, offering him more business and more money), but after he explained the whole process to us and what we needed to do we felt we could do it ourselves, this time successfully. I would have no hesitation to use Mr. Finter's services again, and consider their fees to be well worth it.
