Went to see Picklefight puppet show. Hilarious! It had Sifl n Olly elements mixed with Yo Gabba Gabba type music. The main character was a hotdog that worked at Guitar Center. The opening band was goofy and noisy. I had two house coffees of unknown bean origin and a Magic Hat bottle for the wife. Total=5 bones plus tip of 2 bones. They had 2 Brooklyn lager varieties on tap. Service was great and my booth was comfy. They also have a few couches. The show was free and i wanted to leave a donation of 5 for Picklefight, but the place was crawling with sheisty hipster youths. I figure one of those punks would just steal it. This leads me to a point on hipsterdom. They remind me of how George Harrison described hanging out with hippies in Haight Ashbury. On the surface they are carefree and communally joyful. But there is a hidden dark element that will envelope this scene as the money runs out and the PBR addictions get worse. The Charles Manson of this generation is busy interpreting Death Cab songs as messages to kill as we speak. As for Bela, i loved it. I need to go more often and enjoy the busier part of Madison ave. Unlike the tumbleweed turnpike part of Madison by my house.
