Based on the excellent reviews we decided to try 500 Cucina last night. We took a cab both directions so we could enjoy a nice evening with good food and wine. The food was nothing special and the waiter seemed to not enjoy serving us. I would consider all four of us easy going and not demanding at all. He seemed annoyed if he had to give us another minute to decide on drinks, food , dessert, so then he would not come back for 10 minutes. The place is small and not bus,y so not sure why? At the end of the night we wanted to order shots to celebrate one of our birthdays. The waiter actually questioned our friend on whether he indeed wanted to participate and then started to quote ALCB laws. It was very strange and awkward. Like really... I think he is capable of handling himself and you just put a downer mood on the whole thing. It did give us something to talk about on the cab ride home, we talked about how we will not return.
