I've been to Consol twice now: once for a Pens game and once for a Pitt BB tournament. Both times were in box seats so my experience was not necessarily "typical". The view is fantastic. The seats are so comfortable. However, I highly recommend this venue for events; it's better than any large stadium I've been to. Also, the boxes are better than those at the United Center or Gillette Stadium (my only comparisons).
P.S. Kids under 2 can get into the building (and your box) for free with an adult, but they MAY clear out all the alcohol from your box if they find out anyone under 21 is in there.
