Not from this area we relied on Yelp reviews to pick a restaurant before our show at Mesa Arts Center on a Friday night. This place was super close and had great reviews. Positives: Beer selection (had the gluten-free Stone beer, which was very good) and gluten-free food options. Green hatch chile hummus was delicious. If you order nothing else get this! Happy hour is available at your table (not just at the bar) They take reservations The front of the menu has info about Slow Food (which if you are not familiar is a movement about eating local, sustainable foods). I am all for eating local and sustainable, however it seemed more like it was about serving slow food as we waited a very long time to put in drink orders, then appetizers and then finally food. Our waitress was very hard to track down even though the place was busy but not packed. The reason for three stars is the food was really just average, nothing blew us away (we were a party of 6) and especially for the price. Two people at our table ordered the Mahi-Mahi and everyone agreed the mango rice wasn't good. The veggies with pasta were just ok. The only stand out was the lobster mac and cheese.
