I found a piece of Calgary vegan heaven in Amaranth! Daiya pizza, Daiya shredded cheese, and Daiya mac and cheese are sold at the lowest prices I've seen around Calgary thus far. For a vegan fatty like myself, that's a huge huge plus in my book! There are also a few unusual items I have not yet tried but intrigue me, such as the vegan wine gummies.
I believe this is also one of the few places in Calgary where I've seen tempeh.
They have a nice collection of skin care products and I bought some witch hazel toner for a very good price.
I step in once in a while to rummage about for a treat but have not done a full-range grocery shop here - that may be out of my budget, but there are a select number of items that are priced lower than at Safeway, the Co-op, Blush Lane, and (heaven forbid) Walmart.
The store is very tidy and clean, and the people working there have been lovely each time I visit.
