As a personal trainer myself, I like this gym because the trainers/instructors/coaches are doing something different than many gyms out there. They lift heavy, but they also make sure you lift with correct form. It's like personal training "crossfit" but it's in group classes setting. They also do calisthenics and functional conditioning which are my favorite types of training as well.
Despite of that, I had bad experience when it came to canceling my membership. I was newly moved from California to Vegas and was looking for the best gym for me to work out. I started with their free Metcon classes offer in Jan, which recommended by an acquaintance I met in another gym. I just attended one free class and I liked it a lot so I decided to sign up for the 3 classes per week monthly($155) in early feb because I wasn't sure if I was going to be able to commit since I had to move to the east side of town (I was renting an apartment in west but husband and I are looking to buy house in the east side of town).
Anyway, after I moved to a new house in east town, close to end of feb, about more than a week before my new monthly subscription, I notified the owner through fb to inform them i was cancelling my subscriptions. I don't remember there was a rule on how to cancel my subscriptions, he didn't bother to remind me as well. But still I've informed them about canceling.
On the day of the new month, my card got pending payment by the gym and so I called them again about my membership cancellation and asking for refund. I even called the owner. He was all talking about cancelling my membership so I didn't have to personally go to the gym, great, and I was expecting a refund as well. Within a week, I still didn't get a refund, and so i called the gym, I messaged them and they ignored me. Now, I didn't even feel like going to the gym to confront them cos I actually personally dealing this with the owner and I didn't want to go to the gym and he wasn't there. I thought damn, I'll just rate them on yelp.
