OK so round 2 for cupcakes as a gift...
THEY DO NOT COME IN THE BOXES PICTURED!!!!
I tried this place after Cupcake Lane (which is next door) was not as impressive as i wanted. so i got the recommendation for mad hatter i figured why not try it. so today i did.
the concept is there...pick your flavor / filling / decoration. how ever they are lacking the skill. the icing looks like i let a kid do it. the cupcakes like most are small & not worth the crazy prices they charge. the presentation again killed me...plastic clam shell you find at the grocery store.
Can any place get it? i know i know - the Cupcakery in Henderson uses nice boxes...but they are RUDE!
the flavor of the cakes was decent but the presentation to give to a 30yr old woman was not as elegant as one would like.
so i give up! i can bake and am very good at it. this lets make its easy & quick idea of buying from a bakery - bad idea. i can make it & present it better for less with much much more flavor!!
