Our northern neighbors obviously show the utmost respect for public property, because this streetcar still had its upholster seats and glass partitions intact. The cheery red color was enough to put a smile on my lips whenever I saw it, and I can't believe the haters for this line. Was it the fastest? No, but have you ever taken a ride on the N and R in NYC? We came as tourists, and didn't experience any of the smelly people Yelpers complained about. The streetcar gets packed during rush hour , but you won't find Canadians trying to hump you or pretending they are your co-joined twin. Our Northern neighbors get A's, etiquette-wise. This was a fave line of ours for its frequency of service and how many came at once during peak. And it was amazingly clean. Heading south to Union, the streetcar travels underground starting at Bay St., which Bestie found out one day. Oh, the little thrills from that minor change. If you want to explore Toronto's sights aboveground, especially Chinatown, this is one of the best rides to do it on.
