This is an interesting addition to the luxury end of the market. With CAD tanking and foreign transaction fees and duties while buying abroad one ought to be to shop locally. There are some great deals to be had on some of the items in store as some items (mainly leather goods) were a whopping 30% lower than buying them online in Canada without even a promo! I would suggest a comparison shopping strategy as opposed to impulse buys.
I focused on the men's clothing and shoes area. Not much new in the clothing area if you are familiar with the old setup of the Bay store. There is an addition of higher end shoes which is great. However the selection is very limited (not surprising as if you want selection you should look online or shop abroad)
The women's footwear selection looked extensive and was slammed.
I guess time will tell whether this addition is welcome or not in Canada.
