Though they are not solely a 'Chiu Chow' Restaurant, we come here for their 'Chiu Chow' dishes (few places serve in Calgary). ('Chiu Chow' is a region in Guongdong, China)
*Warning* - It's a hole in the wall, IN the Ghetto of Calgary! which makes it a super hole in the wall! It's on 17th Ave SE, and I guess they've now named that street "International Street" (?!?!) - LMAO.
They have a small parking lot out in front, and there is ample parking on the side streets.... but don't park too far away cuz your car might be jacked! heheh, just kidding....kinda. ;-)
Don't expect too much in terms of decor and ambiance, but do try some 'Chiu Chow' dishes if you go.
My suggestions are:
1) Oyster omelette
2) Marinated duck (?) 'Lo Ngap'
3) Jelly fish with hand shredded chicken
4) Satay beef w Gai Lan
They also have take out if you don't want to eat in the area.
