Flying out of here compared to Pearson is comparable to having an enjoyable experience vs. eating dinner with those in laws that you despise! Seriously this is what travel should be like. You take the ferry across takes maybe 2 minutes and you arrive at the terminal. It will be fantastic when the tunnel opens that should take 6 min walk to the terminal under the water! Once at the terminal it's just Air Canada Express and Porter. So checking in is a breeze as you don't have the never ending lines.
You head downstairs and AC Express has a nice lounge setting with free drinks and snacks. So you all wait for your plane in style and relax. You're called up and head on your way to ground entrance (aka rock star or head of state style) to climb the stairs for your flight.
Please people of Toronto expand to allow jets to fly out of here. The noise will not be much different but think of how it would be to take a jet to a destination further from the edge of downtown Toronto! If I lived downtown I'd be to each rally and in 100% support of this as it's how flying should be! easy, painless, efficient and accessible!
One note of mention is when my plane landed here I was amazed at how short the runway was! Like landing on an aircraft carrier! Woohoo!
