First review! This newly relocated salon opened up right at the corner of Adelaide and Jarvis so I had to check it out since I've passed by numerous times. And I'm glad I did.
I made my appointment online and I was happy to see that there were spots available next day right after work.
When I walked in, I was greeted by their friendly staff and Maureen, my stylist introduced herself and took my coat and prepared me for my consultation and wash. The gentleman from the desk offered my some chocolates and a drink where I ordered a chai latte.
I'm not sure if it was an upsell or just a general recommendation but I was offered a hair mask instead of the regular conditioner based on my dry, thin hair. It was probably an upsell since it was $10 but it made my hair feel really nice.
Maureen was great. I'm not much a talky person but she made good conversation that wasn't just for the sake of conversation. I was quite happy with my haircut and even more pleased that I was in and out within 45 mins and home in time for dinner.
My entire hair cut cost under $80 and that was including tax and tip. This salon isn't so bad but with aveda academy, World salon and Allan Parss all in the same general area, you have quite the decision to make.
