As an actress, stand-in, and extra, having worked on many sets over the years, and having experienced, at ground-level, the need for the right people in the right places NOW, I just have to take a moment and applaud Nancy's work in not only peopling those needs, but doing so, often with short notice and under extreme conditions.
I'm thankful to her for her fairness to all of us at what is often considered the low end of the totem pole. I'm thankful to her, also, for her encouragement of our higher aspirations and the opportunities she has provided so many of those who become regulars at answering the call with timeliness, professionalism and the willingness to go beyond by learning the skills required to do more if called.
Thank you Nancy, for successfully filling stadiums, the Market Square, and all manner of crazy sets, thus helping to make Pittsburgh a place filmmakers choose to return to. And in the midst of all that goes on, thanks for being so level-headed and easy to work with. (Could we please clone you and replace our regular jobs' bosses and supervisors?)
