I just finished getting a full backyard remodel done by Alexon Design and they did an outstanding job, that exceeded my expectations.
I got 3 different landscape companies to bid on the work and Alexon was by far the most professional and organized. They mocked up a great 3D design that really helped us picture what the end result would be. And when I asked why their bid was higher than some of their competitors they were quick to point out big issues with the other bids where they "forgot" to include large chunks of hardscape costs - showing their class and integrity.
The only part of the process that didn't go as expected was the estimated start date. A six week start date turned into a 12 week start date. But this is where Alexon really shined - they always kept me informed of the status and why there were delays (holiday period, rain, office moves etc.). I personally really appreciated their open and responsive communication that you don't always see from other contracting groups. Once things did start everything moved very quickly.
When I had concerns, Alexon responded quickly to make sure the concern was addressed (drainage concerns, plant type and position etc). When plants died unexpectedly, they were replaced quickly. The quality of the workmanship is really exceptional and we couldn't be happier with the final product. Thank you to Dave, Shawn, Disi, Brett and the rest of the Alexon crew!
