Austrian cheese buns.... by way of Hong Kong... The latest in Asian food trend chains sweeping their way down Yonge Street. This one had me a bit leery. I can for sure get behind Korean or Taiwan style fried chicken but this seemed a bit incongruous. O well, the proof is in the pudding (Or in this case in the cheesebun) The shop itself is tiny and there are three or four different kinds of buns. My friends got the chocolate and I opted for the classic. It has an interesting taste. Kinda like donut stuffed with cream cheese icing. It's good but as several yelper have already mentioned quite pricey at $7 a pop. It would be great as a gift especially because it's nicely wrapped but probably not an every day indulgence.
