My son sold his car to them but didn't buy a car from them. The deal was final immediately but they have a deal with Wells Fargo where their checks can't be cashed and can only be deposited. But when you deposit a check over $5k Wells Fargo puts a 3 day hold on it. So basically Car Max has your car and can sell it before you have even been paid for it. This is NOT in the Contract you sign with them and you don't find our until you get to the bank and try to get your money. This is shady! I tried talking to both Wells Fargo and Car Max about it and neither of them will honor the payment for 3 days and you can't get your car back because they may have already sold it. Shady!
