Someone at the parkdale LCBO has recently discovered that people buy beer on the weekends! And therefore the shelves should be stocked with beer! Yes!
While it was always amusing to come in on a Friday evening and find the shelves almost bare - thus forcing me to try new things, as the remaining selection tended to boil down to Coors light or something obscure and Polish - there is something to be said for the new and unanticipated experience of walking in and finding THE ACTUAL BEER I WAS LOOKING FOR .
Selection at this small store is ok. If you want anything other than the basics, Liberty Village or King and Spadina are better bets. I've never asked the staff any questions (it's not really that kind of store - you go in already knowing what you're looking for) so I can't comment on how well they know the product. The store gets crowded, but the staff are efficient and good-humoured.
