Going to sundevil animal hospital was a horrifying experience for both my dog and myselfI. I went in because he has been having eye issues and I've been looking at switching vets. My dog has epilepsy, so after the vet rolled his eyes and made rude comments about how many medications my dog takes to control his seizures, he talked me into getting him tested for valley fever and getting a normal blood test done. I told them that my dog is a screamer but will not bite, he has had blood drawn many times with no issue but the vet tech made me muzzle my dog which was just the start of our traumatic blood draw. I listened to my dog scream bloody murder for 45 minutes while they drew his blood..... he came back with his neck and leg shaved... I can tell each place they stabbed him with the needle to draw blood (his neck looks like it has a rash from how many times they poked him). The vet blamed his inability to draw blood on my dogs medication and not his own incompetence. He said my dogs blood pressure was low from all the medication which it is not, I'm sure it was low due to stress. The stress of being in the waiting room for 45 minutes made my blood pressure drop, I can only imagine how much worse it was being muzzled and stabbed repeatedly. If that wasn't bad enough then we had to walk passed all the barking dogs from the day care who are out in the play yard with no collars on.
