Sloan Canyon was a great 4.5 mile hike...but be ready for a bootie buster, You're walking in a river bed with loose rock for almost the entire way. The canyon provides little shade...so remember to bring that H2O with you and plenty of it. Petroglyphs, well I failed to find any because I was so worried about putting one foot in front of the other and I was sweating like a pig! I would say keep this hike for a cooler day...there is a beautiful overlook that gives you views of Las Vegas and has some nice rocks to enjoy the view!
