This was my first time hiring a cleaning service to come in my house. Well, actually my sister paid for it for me because I was going through back surgery in a few days. I read Mari's contract very carefully and did everything it told me to do. I let her know my priorities in my home. When the ladies got there they asked me where to start. I was under the impression they knew what my priorities were. (which were my floors, 1 bathroom because it was bad, and my kitchen) I assumed they knew what they were doing and told them they could start where they wanted. They didn't look around just went straight to the hallway and started cleaning a bathroom that was really only used to house my cat box. (this bathroom was already cleaned by my Mom) In the 3 hours they were there they didn't touch my floor, took almost 2 hours to do my tiny hallway, not the floors mind you, and not the back bathroom. Just the small bathroom that didn't need anything and my sons room that only needed dusting. They took about 35 minutes on the master bath (small) which was very dirty. I wasn't able to clean it for a long time since hurting my back. Didn't do the master bedroom except the fan and vacuum and left themselves half an hour or so to do my kitchen and all my floors since they didn't do any of the floors. Obviously they didn't get done. Then they asked if I wanted them to stay longer and finish. I wasn't about to have them stay since I saw how slow they were going. I even told the ladies I sprayed my oven already so that had to be done. You would think they would've started there, but they left it for last. So I paid up front the first 4 hours and emailed to complain about the service and that I didn't think I should have to pay the remaining 2 hours I owed because they didn't do what they were suppose to do. I get this email back that doesn't seem like they know what they're doing. It says, "the supervisor will be at your house at 8 tomorrow to discuss it with you" That's it! No I'm sorry you were not satisfied. No let me come to your house and talk about your concerns. Nothing. Not even a signature as to who was emailing me back. This was the email address to Mari herself, so for there not to even be a signature from the person who "owns" this company and telling me her supervisor will be out I was appalled. So I email back saying is this Mari? I get an email back saying, This is Mari the supervisor will be out tomorrow. I couldn't believe she wasn't even going to say anything. I have been a customer service manager for the last 20 years at the same job and I know how your suppose to talk to customers who are not happy and I would especially not talk to customers that way if it was my own business.
Well, the next day Mari herself and her Maid supervisor showed up. Right away Mari was looking around like we were trash and not worth her time. I gotta tell you I do everything in this house including the yard. So my yard didn't look good and I'm sure she was judging, but I have been having bad problems which is preventing me from doing these things. My husband is working 7 days a week just to support me since I can't work right now. I felt like the minute she saw the yard her mind was made up. Well her coming into my house I knew that's how she felt. I was showing her some stuff and telling her I made the beds, I did the dishes, I cleared the floors so the girls didn't have to. She didn't care. She just kept saying well as your house sits now you need at least 6 more hours to get it clean. She was quick to show me pictures of my dirty bathroom when I told her up front my bathroom is bad. If her girls knew that they could have started there.
I was appalled because my house is not that messy. My room is cluttered with my husbands toy collection and comics, but all I was asking in there was vacuum and dusting. She just kept saying it over and over again that the girls must of just been so overwhelmed when they walked in and they do deep cleaning and there was NO WAY they could get "this" house done in only 6 hours. Well, I didn't ask for DEEP cleaning and I gave her a priority list. Not once did I ask for deep cleaning and not once did she say it was going to be deep cleaning. Not even in the contract does it say deep cleaning. Mari asked what I wanted and I said I didn't want to pay for the 2 hours I owed her just the 4 that I prepaid. She clearly said she didn't agree with that, that we should split the difference. She didn't make me pay for the 2 additional hours, but in no way by her demeanor did she make us happy. She made me feel like I live in a slum house and that it was just too dirty for her Maids to clean.
So after my long story. I wouldn't hire them. Mari does not tell her Maids what you want done so they walk in blindly. You can tell them what you want, but all you'll get is OK. Which is the only answer I from them when I told them about certain things. So beware!
