So now that I've purchased my gown....time for a rating. First impressions - not bad. Located in Birkdale close to Williams Sonoma. Anyway, I made an appointment and registered on their computer system stuff like phone, address, size, price range. My consultant was nice but a little pushy. I tried on 3 gowns and knew the 3rd was it. Everything was good and I decided to run to lunch with my family and friends to think it over before purchasing. I ended up coming right back after lunch and knew it was it. What troubles me about this is the shady undertones I felt at both of my visits (purchasing dress and picking it up months later). The tag was cut out of the sample I tried and I was told that the owner had this dress commissioned and it was one of a kind for Anjolique, sounded like a load of you know what but I ignored it. So for months while I waited for my dress to arrive I had no idea who designed it. Not a huge deal just weird. When I picked up my dress there was indeed a tag with a designer name, one I was familiar with none the less. I confirmed on the designer website that Anjolique is the only approved vendor of their brand in NC....so bizarre. Their website is just downright awful. All in all, the dress I ordered arrived in my size/color and on time. However, no one called me when it arrived! I called the store out of curiosity a few weeks prior to the date I was quoted and they said "oh, yeah, it's here." Again, bizarre. When I told them I would come in on Sunday and pick it up the owner made a fuss about how they were so busy, not sure if they could fit me in. I stood firm and she said they would 'squeeze me in' when I arrived on time there was only one other bride in the store. I wouldn't recommend this store to friends and I didn't purchase my bridesmaids gowns here.
