Nando's has to be one of my favourite 'quick' food places when I was living in London, UK. This is a no-frills kind of place that serves spectacular grilled chicken and family-style sides, all with very unique spices and flavours that come together for an amazing and affordable meal. Nando's is a Portuguese restaurant with literally hundreds of combinations of ways to eat chicken. The process to eat is very simple and straightforward. You are seated as you would expect at a restaurant in Calgary. This is the end of what you would expect. At this point you have a table number and that was the end of any opportunity to have a server. You need to go to the front till and make your order. Your order starts with how much of a chicken your table wants. This is served family-style and you can order any parts or entire full chickens. There are classic sides like Corn on the cob, coleslaw and amazing peri-peri fries. Once you have ordered, they hand you a cup for your beverage (obviously self-serve) and you choose your owns spices and sauces to add to the mix and you are good to go. I highly recommend you take the detour and go to Nandos... it's worth every penny!
