We found a fallen dove and I decided to nurse it back to health while we decided what to do with it. My friend later had the idea to look up a bird shelter (which embarrassingly I admit I never really considered the fact that they might exist.) and Fallen Feathers was the closest so we decided to take a trip with our little friend. I was expecting an official establishment with a receptionist and desks so I was kind of shocked to see a little 10 year old girl open the door and grab the bird telling us what it was, and inviting us in. This place is really loud and has a funky smell, but it seems to be a very caring and personable shelter, if maybe a bit over-crowded :(
