I really wanted to like Benjamins... I've been to Benjamins 3 times, and each new experience has been worse than the previous. The first time I ate there the service was fine and the burger was awesome. It was cooked properly, and the toppings were tasty, without taking too much attention from the meat. The second time we had really slow service, and the burger was just slightly overcooked. Not a huge deal, but its not the type of inconsistency you want in a burger joint. The third and final meal I ate here was by far the worst. Although the restaurant was nearly empty, the service was awfully slow. It took about 15 minutes to order, another 10 for the drinks to arrive, and another 20 after that for the food. Every burger at our table was overcooked, and not by a little. The toppings were still great, but an overcooked, flavorless patty means you're in for a bad time. What a bummer. The servers and bartenders are super friendly, it's in a great location, the price is right, and the atmosphere is great. But when it comes down to it, the burgers are mediocre. A solid 'meh' rating.
