#customerservicefail I went in on an admittedly busy long weekend, in search of a new pair of shoes. Here's the conversation I had with the salesman: Me: Hi, I need new summer shoes that offer extra-good ankle and arch support. Salesman: What about sandals? Me: I'd prefer something that laces up. Salesman (measures feet): You're a big guy, you need a 13 1/2 (normally a 12). Me (half thinking he just insulted my weight): I'm a little surprised by that. Salesman (brings $450 shoes): These are larger than your normal size, because your orthotics take up space. Me: They don't really do the trick. What about these other ($200) shoes? Salesman (brings something different): Try these (walks away before I'm done lacing). Me: I'm not sure about these either... Salesman (brings a different pair of $450 shoes, also too large for my feet): Try these (walks away). Me: They're too large. Salesman: I'm surprised you don't like them. Me: I think we're done.
