The bank associate was very nice and helpful opening my checking account but when I presented my $300 bonus coupon I was hoping to use to earn an extra $300 (single mom trying to save) I asked her what was considered a direct deposit for me to earn my bonus and she did not know, I needed to contact costumer service. I did and they informed me it could be any direct ACH deposit, payroll deposit, or government benefits. I had to ACH credits and 2 deposits from the IRS for my tax returns. But none of those qualify and I won't be getting my bonus! READ THE FINE PRINT!!! Those big banks only want to get you in the door and really don't care about you as a person! I went back to the personal banker who was so nice when I opened my account and she wouldn't return my calls or be an advocate for my cause. Needless to say I'll be going back to the credit union!
