This has been a family favorite of ours for two years! My husband and I will be at home and maybe the day sucks or we're just bored so we know we can at least laugh our asses off for an hour at improvMANIA. We love it because it's always something different. Each show depends on suggestions from the audience so it's unique each time. We've left many times saying that our cheeks hurt from laughing so much.
The last show we attended they did this hilarious bit called Return Counter. We were laughing so hard because the improvers don't know what they are returning, they have to go by what the guy at the counter says...one was Tonya Harding, another was a bacon bit and the third was Trump's brush. So funny! They followed that by one improver (Dave) having to create a story by the what the other (JC) was acting out. When they were setting it up (all by audience suggestions) we thought there was no way they were going to get this complex, detailed, and hilarious story but they did. To see these two professionals work together is like watching magic right on the stage.
We're so grateful for this place. It's our place to go when we just need to step out of life and laugh! There is a free parking garage right across the street, so it's easy in and easy out and right in downtown Chandler so we often have dinner and see a show or have something to eat between shows so we can see both the 7pm family friendly show and the 9pm all ages show or they do have beer, wine and popcorn / candy available. The stage is brand new and inviting. I love the owners, they are a local family that are always inviting and both participate as part of the troupe as they have over 15 years experience in improv.
