Years ago, Larry advised me on what was best for my new hardwood floors - Miele. He made the point that after spending a fortune on the hardwood, it would last longer with a quality vacuum. I bought a Dyson years later for a cordless option. The Miele is still better. I get the Miele bags there, get regular checks and feel that is the reason mine last for years. Buy cheap at chains and you will be buying 5 times as many over the years.
