Long story short. I didn't have insurance and found out I had a hernia. The doctors in OC told me not to worry about it. It wasn't hurting me, so no need for surgery yet. I didn't want to wait till it started hurting me or popping out so I came across Dr. Peterson's website and filled out the form. They contacted me within a few days and we scheduled a over the phone consultation with Dr. Peterson. After the phone consultation and talking to my husband we decided to schedule it. I also did tons of research on mesh vs. non mesh and did not want to have something foreign put in my body. Surgery went great, but it turned out I didn't have an inguinal hernia, I had a femoral hernia which are more complicated and way worse! Had I taken the advice of the first hernia doctor and "waited" I would have had to have an emergency surgery and could have cost me way more and I wouldn't have been able to choose mesh or not. I am so happy I went to Dr. Peterson. His staff are super nice, the facility was super clean, and Dr. Peterson did a great job. It is now 5 weeks since surgery and I am feeling great. Thankful this place exists.
