Cool place but on this day I got a rack of ribs that were so salty i could not eat them and had to take them back. Judging by the reaction of the personal there this has never happened before and they didn't quite know what to do with me. I finally got an exchange for some pulled pork because I didn't want to chance more salt ribs and the pork was very good. This place really is a hole in the wall and there is no warm and fuzzy feel here at all like some BBQ places. There is no way of knowing how big this place really is because there is just a cash register in one corner and a room the size of a waiting room with three small tables. I wish they had a window into the kitchen where you could see how they prepare the food. Where is the smoker? It's a residential neighbor hood but there is no smoke smell outside at all. We did try their brisket and felt that was the best of what we got. I would go back there for that but not sure if I would get ribs again. Maybe a three rib lunch just to see if the salt thing was a one time mistake or just how they do them. It's a dry rub on the ribs but usually not salty to this extent. The East side needs more places to eat but they have to have a good product all of the time. Fat Jacks has been doing it for decades and I have never taken anything back there.
