We've stayed at this La Quinta several times over the last few years. This latest time it was after their major remodel and it shows. With rare exception, the place looks nice and new (though doors that needed to be opened upwards rather than the more natural downwards was odd). Of course, one thing that they couldn't alter was the road noise (it backs up to 95) so be prepared to put the Inncom thermostat into VIP mode so that you will have the white noise of your AC unit humming and drowning out most of that sound -- or try for a room towards the very front of the complex. With the update came a change in their breakfast menu. Gone was the standard corporate menu (hot waffles, all else cold), and it was replaced with the addition of new hot food including bacon or links, scrambled eggs, hash browns, hot oatmeal. My wife has always been fine with the older, limited breakfasts but it's been a major disappointment to me. Now I can start the day off happy, after all breakfast is the most important meal. If the noise was less, I'd easily give this that final star (it's really at 4.5 especially considering the price), or if we took a pet on our trip, that would also give it 5. I look forward to returning here and isn't that the best thing to say about a place?
