Not the best experience here. Sales staff was nice and accommodating and the showroom is clean. You're free to roam around without being hassled and when I needed someone, they were readily available. However, that's the extent of the good.
After a few months of ownership I'm questioning the quality of the vehicle I purchased. I bought a 2011 BMW 328i convertible with only 18k miles on it a couple months ago. Car looked to be in great shape, had very low miles, and carfax was clean. Test driving it revealed a slight pull to the right. Maybe alignment issue or tire pressure difference. I brought it up to the salesman and was brushed off and wasn't offered to have them look at it. Being car savvy, and noticing that was the only thing I could find wrong at the time, I moved forward with the purchase.
After having the car for about a week, I noticed a rattle in the back every time I went over a slight bump. Convertibles are prone to rattle a little but this car is a hard top convertible and is tight as a drum so it shouldn't have rattles. It rattles like crazy now and I pinpointed it to a loose plastic cover on the rear deck lid behind the rear headrest. Not something that should be rattling at 18k miles.
Upon further exploring the car, I found out that the factory BMW tool kit was removed/missing from the car along with the factory installed hazard triangle that you place in the back of the car to warn oncoming traffic that you're broken down. Why would this have been removed? What happened to this car that warranted these to be removed?
I then kept finding random screws in the trunk. This had me a little worried. Things didn't add up. After a couple washes and hand drying the car, I started noticing really small swirls in the paint appear that were not there when I bought it. The front right rim also looked to have the finish removed. Like a dull fade started appearing. The other rims looked fine and like new. But the front right had what looked like a finish remover splattered on it. This is also the tire that pulls to the right.
I don't do a lot of highway driving as I live really close to work. So about 95% of my driving is in town. When I took the car on a trip to CA and had to use the brakes at highway speed, I noticed a chatter and vibration in the brake pedal. Again coming from what seems to be the front right wheel. Same side that pulls and same wheel with the discoloration on the rim. Not something that should be happening on a car with only 18k miles on it.
Long story short here, what seemed like a great quality car had quite a few underlying issues that didn't come up until a few weeks / month after I purchased. If you are thinking of purchasing a vehicle from here, do a thorough walk through and make sure that all the pieces that should be with the car are there.
I'm now having the car serviced and a complete check-up done at the BMW dealership to see what issues are going on with this car. Something I'm paying for that I shouldn't have had to. Fool me once, shame on me. I won't be returning to Benz &Beemer and wouldn't trust them to service my vehicle either. Not after the inconsistencies with the quality of their cars.
