If you looked up the word "perfection" in the dictionary a picture of Lissa's work would be next to it. I had the pleasure of working with Lissa on my wedding dress that I purchased in NYC at Mark Ingram Atelier by the designer Costarellos. I practice yoga at Harmony across from Creations and had read outstanding reviews for her as well as word of mouth from several of the instructors at the studio so I decided it was a perfect fit.
My dress had several panels of different fabrics as well as MANY layers. Lissa did not even bat an eye at how seemingly difficult it would be to alter. Not only does she make you feel like an old friend when you walk in the door but she aims to please. She is realistic and honest with you. Her prices are extremely affordable. My dress was finished and ready to go in record timing. There was never a time throughout the entire process where I had an ounce of doubt or worry.
Rosie, who assists Lissa with alterations, might actually be a living saint. Together they are an unstoppable team. I looked forward to the alterations appointments that I had not just because I wanted to see my dress but because I truly enjoyed being around them.
Lissa was also able to restore my moms veil that was practically yellow to a gorgeous ivory color. It matched my dress perfectly. She created one of the most beautiful bustles I have ever seen and explained step by step until she was blue in the face how to do it and even had me take photos for my mom to look at for reference. My wedding was in Italy and she was kind enough to pack my dress, veil and shoes into my suitcase for me so I didn't have to worry about it.
I could go on and on about how great of an experience I had with Lissa and Rosie. I would recommend her to everyone for alterations and not only that but she is an absolute pro at restoring and reconstructing vintage gowns. She has stunning collection of dresses in her shop that look like they're brand new with that boho flare that's so popular... and for half the price. I have never met someone who works more meticulously CONSTANTLY than her on every single thing she does.
It feels like customer service seizes to exist these days and Lissa truly gives me faith that that may not be true. Not only did I walk out of her dress with a completely flawless wedding gown but I also left with a new friend.
