Last night I went to CycleBar for the first time. I called three times to schedule my first class and nobody answered the phone, so I had to go to the studio hoping there were bikes left for me for this class.
I purchased a Groupon for "CycleBar North Hills" for four classes. When I got to the studio, the owner seemed annoyed by my Groupon and reluctant to help me get into the class. As a first time customer, and this being a new studio I expected to be shown the facility, to get an explanation of how the class was structured and I did not. I taught spin for another studio in Pittsburgh so luckily I did not need a lot of instruction, but for someone new to spin this would have been a horrible first impression. The class and instructor were both amazing and I will definitely be back because of her, but the front of house staff and experience were truly lacking, especially considering how many other great spin studios are in the area for the same or a lower price.
