Downtown Home Inn is a great place to stay.
Located in Downtown Toronto, close to the centre and near lots of public transport. The rooms are lovely with a really homely feel.
I stayed in the Lily room. The bed was comfortable and I had a great nights sleep. The place has shared bathrooms and a free breakfast which is self service, but you can eat as much as you like. The price per room is also excellent. You really feel safe and at home here.
The only reason I did not give this place 5 stars is because the guy looking after the place did not stock up on food in the morning and we had no milk which I ended up buying and little bread. He later admitted to going out the night before and getting drunk so I guess his hangover won out over our want for food. He also did not have the room ready for the next guests after I had vacated. I have been reliably informed that the owner looks after the place a lot better.
This place is lovely though and definitely worth staying in. I will be back for sure.
