Had CCE out to check AC Units on their $49 ea "special". It was special alright. After the check I was told one of my units needed more R-22, the other had a bad starter, or it's "on its way out".
I was quoted $200 per pound on the recharge and another couple hundred on a new starter.
The technician was a little sketchy and we had a little moment while he was here. Needless to say, I told them not today and send him on his way.
Called another local company and told them I needed a check up. After the check.........(drum roll please).......no issues.
Cost me another $120 but better than $4-5 hundred.
Gut in-stinks. A crooked company. (Or tech)
