JUST. SO. YUMMY. This week's chef special was Halo-Halo creme brulee. The presentation was beautiful and the taste exceeded our expectations. Halo-halo is a Filipino dessert and this fusion is Filipino approved by my family and me! We were so excited to try it and we beamed with pride and delight after we scarfed it all down! All the classic elements from the traditional halo-halo were represented and we loved every single bite. It was like an homage to a childhood fave - what a great thing to share with family! We even took some other flavors home with us because the creme brulee itself was truly delicious. It isn't super sweet, it was "brulee'd" just perfectly with the perfect amount of sugar; it's all just right with even a couple portion sizes to choose from. They have a loyalty card too... we almost filled one up on our first visit - that's how good it is!
