My head was a bit of a mess from the work week so I was looking for a relatively short and easy hike in Red Rock Canyon to clear my head. With the earlier Calico parking areas being completely full, I didn't want to be around too many people. I made a last minute decision to head out to this trail. Parking was easy enough in the area and it wasn't as crowded. We saw a lot of kids along the trail - there is some light rock scrambling that is doable for a mobile adult who doesn't hike often and very enjoyable for active and adventurous kids. The waterfall at the end was a mere trickle on this November day, but seeing Norm's photos, I'm eager to go back here when it's raining and snowing to see the scenery changes. We brought water, but barely made a dent in it since the hike was not rigorous and there were no big elevation changes.
