This establishment is absolutely criminal. I brought my dog in around 1:00 am after she had gotten into a fight with another dog. She had a visible deep cut on the top of her head and some lacerations on the side of her face. It wasn't life threatening but it definitely needed to be stitched up. The receptionist had me fill out paperwork and then placed me in a waiting room where I waited about 20 minutes before the vet assistant came to greet us. She took the dogs weight and said the doctor will be in to see you soon. Another 20 minutes goes by and a disheveled Dr. Farnsworth comes in, looks at my dog, hardly asks any questions, explains that she definitely needs stitches and says he will come back with a quote (note, that is the last time we saw him). Another 25 minutes goes by until the vet assistant comes with a quoted invoice about our charges. Mind you that when going in to the Animal Emergency Center I already expected to pay a few hundred dollars due to prices being jacked up because it is late night urgent care but what my eyes witnessed on that invoice sheet almost gave me a heart attack- $920.00! The invoice sheet must have had about 15 line items including anesthesia, sutures, medications, etc. I was absolutely shocked! After my husband and I explained that we simply cannot afford this (and it's a total rip-off) we decided to see our local vet in the morning. At the end of the long conversation the vet assistant said that the cuts aren't urgent and can definitely wait, BUT we should do a few things on the list (which would have came to about $350.00). My husband and I declined the services but still had to pay an $85.00 exam fee. This establishment does not care about the well being of animals as they charge such extreme prices that you can't possibly care for your pet without going into debt yourself. I had to take my poor baby home and take her to my local vet to get stitches in the morning (turned out to be $200.00 after all was said and done). This "vet" should be ashamed trying to charge $920.00 for stitches when my local vet charged $200.00. This establishment has no sense of urgency or compassion for animals. They will try to nickel and dime you with their prices because they know you are desperate and have no choice. Please don't waste your time and money here.
