I purchased a Simple Human garbage pail from the store when I first moved into my house about 9 years ago. Lo and behold, last week, while in normal use, the garbage pail malfunctioned. I was unable to pull out the inner plastic lining from inside the can .. I called Simple Human and explained the problem to them. They spent a long time on the phone with me trying to solve the problem. I was unable to dislodge the inner liner despite following their instructions. They asked where I bought it . I told them I got it at Bed Bath and Beyond but I had no receipt and no proof that I bought it there . No problemo they told me. I walked into the store carrying the malfunctioning can. The man working at the cash register recognized that it is a product sell. He offered a choice between my money back or a replacement trash can. I simply took the new can and walked out of the store as a happy camper. What a great policy the store has. While I had been very pleased with my purchases at Bed Bath and Beyond in the past, now I am an ardent fan of the store. Even if you pay a few pennies more, at the store stands behind products is worth the few pennies extra you may pay.
