I really want to love Dove Spa.. the environment is lovely and so relaxing - a great quiet lounge, nice peaceful music, painted quotations about natural beauty (a bit ironic when I'm spending two hours and more than $100 beautifying), nice friendly staff, beautiful flowering tea, fruit-filled water, bamboo plants, etc. However, the quality of service is always just so-so (probably time to go somewhere else) - not terrible, but not spectacular, considering the prices.
I first went to Dove Spa because they were giving away free facials if you sign up for their newsletter (Which by the way is worth signing up for because they have good monthly promotions - this summer, they offered free manicures with a pedicure and they currently have a two-for-one facial promotion).
i think they are more focused on fancy body wraps and treatments more than basic spa services, like waxing and nails. When I had my facial, they did a skin test to determine to let me know what types of products I should be using, and they also offer a free treat, such as lip/eyebrow wax, hand/foot massage, nail polish change; etc. The facials are great and they have a lot of different ones to choose from (such as the photofacial, which stimulates muscles to creat a natural 'face lift'), but my freebie was a total fail... I chose the eyebrow wax, and she missed so many fine hairs... not much atttention to detail at all. And, when I got a pedicure, my nails chipped a few hours later!
So, it's an okay option if you live in the area, but it's definitely not worth going out of your way for it..
